I've never taken an indoor cycling class before. What should I expect?
Arrive 15 minutes early to your first class and let the front desk staff know that it’s your first visit. A Revolution Studio instructor will take you through a brief orientation to get you ready for the ride of your life! Our rides are designed for all fitness levels and our highly trained instructors will lead you every step of the way.
Do I have to be in great shape to participate in a Revolution Studio ride?
No — our indoor cycling classes can be adapted to any fitness level. Individual resistance knobs on each bike allow you full control over the intensity of your workout. Our rides are an excellent way to exercise the heart, lungs, and muscular system. If you are concerned about taking a class due to a physical condition, please consult your physician before taking a class for the first time.
What should I wear?
Most regular gym attire is appropriate, but for maximum comfort we recommend fitted pants or bike shorts. Avoid loose fitting long pants that could get caught in the pedals. A full range of workout apparel is available for purchase at our studio.
Why are cycling shoes required for class?
Cycling shoes offer a more secure position in the pedals and on the bike. They are made with a very stiff sole that enables more powerful pedal strokes which translates into a more effective workout. Our bikes are Look Delta and SPD compatible. Please feel free to bring your own. Alternatively, you can rent or purchase a pair from our studio.
Do you have locker room facilities?
Yes we do! Revolution Studio has both male and female locker rooms each with restrooms, showers, and changing areas. We also have lockers available for daily use.
Do you provide towels?
Yes we do! A fresh workout towel will be provided for your ride. Shower towels are also available.
Is Revolution Studio available for private group classes or events?
Yes, we are. Please inquire at the front desk for more information or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What happens if I arrive late or need to leave early?
Errands to run? Conference call to jump on? We understand, but please plan your ride schedule accordingly. Arriving late is distracting to everyone else in the class. In order to preserve the experience for the other riders, we cannot admit anyone who is more than 10 minutes late. On the flip side, we politely ask that riders not duck out early. We are working hard to create positive, focused energy in the room for the entire 50-minute ride.
Do you have childcare in the studio?
Unfortunately we do not.
